I am a Licensed massage therapist and I bring a nervous system approach
to each session to help you relax so healing can happen!
As a dedicated, licensed, medical massage therapist my journey into bodywork was driven by a desire to help individuals navigate the stresses of everyday life and find relief from the physical and emotional imprints of past traumas. With a love for learning, I am continuing to increase my knowledge about the human body, and how best to help each individual. My appreciation for natural healing techniques has grown along with seeing and experiencing the benefits of hands-on therapy. I am passionate about creating a safe, supportive, and customized session for each client where they can find relief from tension and feel more present and free from restriction. My goal is to help you feel your best, so you can perform at your best!
Services I offer:
Craniosacral Fascia Therapy, Foot Reflexology, Therapeutic Medical Massage, Trauma Informed Breathwork
Each service is offered as a stand-alone session OR we can do a combination of modalities in one session.
CRANIOSACRAL FASCIA THERAPY...
Fascia work is my passion and has been vital in helping me create a treatment plan that is not just muscle based but also involves working a lot with the connective tissue and fascia system of the body. I am certified in Craniosacral Fascia Therapy (CFT), which is the work of Dr. Barry Gillespie. It is based on his theory that the Craniosacral and Fascial systems are one interconnected system. Blending Cranial Sacral Therapy (CST) and Myofascial Release, along with dental techniques developed from Dr Gillespie’s experience as a periodontist. CFT is a very gentle modality used to address fascial strain on the nervous system and has powerful therapeutic effects. It is beneficial for all ages from infants to adults!
FOOT REFLEXOLOGY...
Reflexology is the stimulation of specific points on the feet that correspond to different parts of the body. It is a complementary practice used to help reduce tension and support overall health and wellness. The underlying principle is that it works directly with the nervous system. By applying pressure and stimulating the different points of the nervous system, it sends signals along the entire nerve pathway to communicate with the brain, the nervous system headquarters. The goal is to initiate a natural internal response that aims to correct any kind of disfunction and brings optimal balance to all systems as a whole. Because reflexology works directly with the nervous system and if you are experiencing any nerve issues, you may see noticeable improvement from the treatment.
THERAPUTIC MEDICAL MASSAGE...
Therapeutic medical massage focuses not just on relaxation, but each session works to bring long term relief to symptoms that you are dealing with. The aim is to alleviate pain and improve wellbeing, and it is designed to target specific areas of discomfort, injury, tension and specific medical issues. Each session is tailored to what each client is dealing with, and pressure is adjusted according to the area being worked on and how much pressure each client can tolerate. Incorporating massage as a consistent part of your wellness routine has the potential to ease pain, reduce the risk of medication and enhance your quality of life.
TRAUMA INFORMED BREATHWORK...
Breathwork is a way to makes an improvement in your breathing! It increases your ability to be present in time and is a way to let go and clear up negativity or emotions that you don’t want to carry with you. Benefits you may notice are better digestion, stronger immune system, increase of oxygen and blood flow to your brain, calmer emotions, and so much more. Combining breathwork with Craniosacral work can help you relax and has a positive impact on your nervous system. Add breathwork to your next session and experience the difference!
