Sarah Balser, MSW

Sarah Balser (she/her) is a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) who is passionate about helping individuals heal from trauma, better understand their experiences, and develop new ways of relating to themselves and the world around them. She works with clients navigating trauma, anxiety, stress, and life transitions.

She is especially committed to providing neurodivergence-affirming care (e.g., ADHD, autism) from a strengths-based, non-pathologizing perspective. Sarah creates a space that is flexible and collaborative, adapting therapy to fit each client’s way of thinking and processing rather than expecting them to conform to rigid models.

She also supports clients navigating weight stigma and its intersections with trauma, identity, and self-worth, helping foster a more compassionate and empowered relationship with the body.

Sarah’s style is collaborative, respectful, and grounded in curiosity. She prioritizes creating a space where clients feel safe and understood, and supports them in building both insight and practical skills at a pace that feels right for them. Her approach is integrative and trauma-informed, drawing from modalities such as EMDR, CBT, DBT, and mindfulness-based self-compassion.

Sarah is currently practicing under supervision and bills under Kasey Cliffton, LISW-S. She provides services by telehealth only.

She accepts Aetna, Anthem, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, CareSource, Luminare/OSU, Medicaid, Medical Mutual, OhioHealth, Optum, Oscar Health, United Healthcare, and UMR, as well as out-of-network and self-pay options.
